I thought I’d have a break after I did my Haas Interview, since I applied to that school a month earlier than all my other schools, but I guess that’s not happening. Don’t worry, I’m not complaining. 😉
I was literally staring at my Gmail account when the invite popped up. At first, I thought it was spam and clicked on it to unsubscribe. But upon further inspection, I discovered the good news. I can definitely see myself attending UCLA because of its West Coast presence and its strong focus on entrepreneurship. During my research of the school, I met a number of successful Anderson grads who loved their MBA experience.
I feel fortunate to have received such good news within what was essentially just a week’s worth of time. Given the timing of events, I’m realizing that there’s a good chance I won’t be spending that much time in the waiting game. My next few months could be filled with interview prep, with decisions scattered throughout. That is unless I get waitlisted of course.
Anyway, I’m going to have to start planning some time off to complete both of my upcoming interviews. It’s so difficult to concentrate on work when you feel like you’re on the cusp of changing your career.
Congrats on the interview invites! Best of luck!
Thanks Alex!
Congratulations on both invitations!
I am one of those entrepreneurial Anderson grads who remembers by MBA experience fondly — although I admit that it was long enough ago that it probably isn’t terribly relevant to you.
To prepare, review feedback for both schools at http://www.accepted.com/mba/interviews/advancedsearch.aspx. We have reports from this season. After you interview, please share your experience. You can do so anonymously and submitting a report makes you eligible to win an iPad.
Congrats again!

Thanks for the advice Linda. UCLA is definitely a great school.
